Top-rated independent heating and cooling across southern Nevada and the desert Southwest

Air Duct Cleaning

We clean residential air ducts across Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah, pulling built-up dust, construction debris and fine desert grit out of supply and return runs. Homeowners usually call us after a remodel, after buying a home with an unknown history, when registers puff dust at startup, or when airflow feels weak in rooms far from the air handler. Call us and describe what you are seeing. We will look at the system first and tell you honestly whether cleaning is the right fix or whether something else is going on.

What an air duct cleaning actually involves

We start at the equipment and work outward. The blower cabinet, coil face and return drop get inspected, then we seal the system and use vacuum and agitation to move debris toward a collection point rather than into your rooms. Registers and grilles come off and get cleaned separately. Flex duct is handled gently because torn inner liner causes more trouble than the dust did. When we are finished, we run the system and confirm airflow at the registers that were weak.

What we check while we are in there

Ductwork tells you a lot about a house. We look for crushed or kinked flex runs, disconnected boots dumping conditioned air into an attic, sagging line sets, and insulation that has degraded in high attic heat. We check the filter slot for bypass, because air sneaking around a filter is why fine dust coats the coil and the duct walls. If we find moisture staining, we say so and explain the likely source. You get photos and a plain description, not a sales pitch.

How we decide cleaning is the right call

Cleaning helps when there is real debris to remove. Drywall dust after a remodel, rodent activity, a filter that has been missing, or years of construction grit in a newer home all justify the work. It does not fix a system that is undersized, a return that is too small, or a failing blower. If your complaint is uneven temperatures or a musty smell, we look for the cause first. Sometimes the honest answer is a duct repair or a coil cleaning instead, and we will tell you that.

Air Duct Cleaning — quick answers

How often do air ducts need cleaning in a dry, dusty climate?

There is no fixed schedule. Most homes in our region go years between cleanings. Remodels, rodent activity, a missing filter or heavy outdoor dust exposure move it up. We inspect and tell you what we find.

Will duct cleaning fix a room that never gets cool?

Usually not on its own. A hot room is more often a disconnected duct, a crushed flex run, an undersized return or a closed damper. We check those while we are in the ductwork and report what is actually causing it.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

Yes, someone should be there to give us access to the attic or roof, the air handler and every register. We move furniture away from grilles, and it helps to have pets kept in one closed room.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and whether the outdoor unit is running. That tells us which parts and gauges to load on the truck before we leave.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow, refrigerant pressures, and the condenser coil. Desert dust plugs coils and dying capacitors are common. You get the finding in plain words before we touch a part.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then run the system and measure supply air temperature and amp draw so we know it is actually cooling or heating. We tell you what we saw and what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know rooftop unitsHalf the valley has a package unit on the roof, baking all summer. We are up there regularly, so we know how those cabinets fail, where the drain pans rust, and how heat and sun break down wiring and blower assemblies.
  • Dust is the local enemyFine desert dust mats onto condenser coils and chokes airflow, and the system runs hot until something gives up. We check the coil on every call and tell you honestly whether cleaning will fix your cooling problem.
  • July gets treated like JulyA dead condenser when it is 112 outside is not a routine call. We prioritise homes with no cooling, and we say clearly when we can be there instead of leaving you guessing all afternoon.
  • Heating tooDesert nights get cold and furnaces sit unused for months. We do heater repair and furnace repair, including no-ignition problems, bad igniters, and blowers that hum without moving air. Same straight explanation, no upsell speech.

  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
