Mini-Split Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair ductless mini-splits and multi-zone systems for homeowners across Nevada, Arizona, California and Utah, and you can call us as soon as a head stops cooling. Most failures come down to a clogged indoor coil or blower wheel, a blocked condensate drain that shuts the head down, a failed outdoor fan or inverter board, a low refrigerant charge from a loose flare connection, or a communication fault between the outdoor unit and one zone. On arrival we run the system, read the error code at the board, check airflow through each head, measure amp draw and pressures, then tell you what failed and what it takes to fix it. Turn the affected zone off, leave the breaker alone, and book an air conditioning repair visit.

The mini-split symptoms we hear most

  • One room stays hot while the other heads work fine Zone valve, indoor board or line-set fault on that single head
  • Water dripping down the wall under the indoor unit Blocked condensate drain or a frozen indoor coil
  • The head blows but the air is barely cool Low refrigerant charge, dirty coil or a struggling inverter compressor
  • Blinking light on the head and nothing happens Stored error code, communication loss or a control board failure
  • Musty smell every time the mini-split starts Biological growth on the coil and blower wheel, plus a slow drain

People call this mini-split repair or ductless AC repair. Same visit, same written quote, same technician.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the remote or wall thermostat batteries and confirm the mode is set to cool, not fan or dry.
  • 2Look at the breaker panel and the disconnect for a tripped breaker before you call.
  • 3Pull the washable filters out of each indoor head and rinse or replace them if they are grey with dust.
  • 4Clear leaves, gravel and stored items away from the outdoor unit so it has open space on all sides.

Mini-Split Repair — quick answers

Why is my mini-split leaking water inside the house?

Almost always a blocked condensate drain. Dust and biological growth build up in the drain line, water backs up in the pan, and the head either drips down the wall or shuts off on a float switch. We clear the line and clean the coil.

Can one zone be repaired without touching the others?

Often yes. If the fault sits in a single indoor head, its board or its branch of the line set, we repair that zone and leave the rest running. Faults in the outdoor unit affect every zone and need repair there.

What does a blinking light on the indoor unit mean?

It is an error code. Each manufacturer uses a different blink pattern to point at a sensor, a communication loss or a compressor fault. We read the code at the board, then verify it with pressure and amp readings before replacing anything.

My mini-split runs constantly and never reaches setpoint. Why?

Inverter systems are built to run long and low, so that alone is normal. Never reaching setpoint is not. Usually a dirty indoor coil, a low refrigerant charge from a loose flare fitting, or a compressor losing capacity.

Is a bad smell from the head something you can fix?

Yes. That odour comes from growth on the wet indoor coil and blower wheel. We pull the head down, deep clean the coil, wheel and drain pan, and flush the condensate line so it drains properly again.

How long does a mini-split repair take?

Diagnosis usually runs under an hour. Simple work like a drain clear, capacitor or fan motor often finishes the same visit. Boards, compressors and refrigerant leak repairs depend on parts, and we tell you the wait before we start.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and whether the outdoor unit is running. That tells us which parts and gauges to load on the truck before we leave.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow, refrigerant pressures, and the condenser coil. Desert dust plugs coils and dying capacitors are common. You get the finding in plain words before we touch a part.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then run the system and measure supply air temperature and amp draw so we know it is actually cooling or heating. We tell you what we saw and what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know rooftop unitsHalf the valley has a package unit on the roof, baking all summer. We are up there regularly, so we know how those cabinets fail, where the drain pans rust, and how heat and sun break down wiring and blower assemblies.
  • Dust is the local enemyFine desert dust mats onto condenser coils and chokes airflow, and the system runs hot until something gives up. We check the coil on every call and tell you honestly whether cleaning will fix your cooling problem.
  • July gets treated like JulyA dead condenser when it is 112 outside is not a routine call. We prioritise homes with no cooling, and we say clearly when we can be there instead of leaving you guessing all afternoon.
  • Heating tooDesert nights get cold and furnaces sit unused for months. We do heater repair and furnace repair, including no-ignition problems, bad igniters, and blowers that hum without moving air. Same straight explanation, no upsell speech.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
