Top-rated independent heating and cooling across southern Nevada and the desert Southwest

Whole-Home Air Purifiers

We install and service whole-home air purifiers that mount inside your existing HVAC system, treating the air in every room instead of one. Homeowners across Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah call us when dust settles again a day after cleaning, when allergy season drags on indoors, or when cooking and pet odors linger. If that sounds like your house, call us and we will look at your ductwork, your filtration and your airflow before recommending anything.

What the job involves

A whole-home purifier goes into the return duct or the air handler cabinet, so every cubic foot of air passing through gets treated. Depending on the equipment, that means ultraviolet light at the coil, polarized media, or a deep-pleat filter cabinet. We cut and seal the opening, wire the unit to a safe power source, and confirm the system still moves air the way it should. Most installs are a single visit. We clean up the sheet metal shavings before we leave.

What we check and install

Before we quote equipment we measure static pressure and look at the return sizing, because a purifier that chokes airflow makes cooling worse in a dry desert summer. We inspect the evaporator coil for dust buildup, check filter fit and gaps where unfiltered air sneaks past, and look at duct joints in the attic. Then we match the purifier to your blower and your actual complaint, whether that is dust, odors, smoke from wildfire season, or biological growth on a damp coil.

How we decide it is the right call

Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need a purifier. Leaky return ducts pulling attic air, a filter one size too thin, or a coil packed with dust will each dirty a house on their own, and fixing those costs less than adding equipment. We tell you that first. When the basics are sound and the air still bothers someone in the home, a whole-home purifier earns its place. We explain what it does and what it will not do.

Whole-Home Air Purifiers — quick answers

Will a whole-home air purifier replace my regular filter?

Usually not. Most purifiers work alongside a filter, and some are a filter cabinet themselves. We tell you exactly which media to keep buying and how often to change it for your setup.

Does it run all the time?

It treats air only while your blower is moving air. Many systems can run the fan on a low continuous setting, which we can set up if your equipment and thermostat support it.

Will it help with dust from the desert?

It helps a lot, once the leaks are sealed. Fine outdoor dust often enters through return joints and gaps around the filter, so we address those first, then let the purifier catch what remains.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill out the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and whether the outdoor unit is running. That tells us which parts and gauges to load on the truck before we leave.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow, refrigerant pressures, and the condenser coil. Desert dust plugs coils and dying capacitors are common. You get the finding in plain words before we touch a part.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then run the system and measure supply air temperature and amp draw so we know it is actually cooling or heating. We tell you what we saw and what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know rooftop unitsHalf the valley has a package unit on the roof, baking all summer. We are up there regularly, so we know how those cabinets fail, where the drain pans rust, and how heat and sun break down wiring and blower assemblies.
  • Dust is the local enemyFine desert dust mats onto condenser coils and chokes airflow, and the system runs hot until something gives up. We check the coil on every call and tell you honestly whether cleaning will fix your cooling problem.
  • July gets treated like JulyA dead condenser when it is 112 outside is not a routine call. We prioritise homes with no cooling, and we say clearly when we can be there instead of leaving you guessing all afternoon.
  • Heating tooDesert nights get cold and furnaces sit unused for months. We do heater repair and furnace repair, including no-ignition problems, bad igniters, and blowers that hum without moving air. Same straight explanation, no upsell speech.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
