HVAC repair in Ontario, the local picture
We handle air conditioning repair, heating repair and system replacement for homes across Ontario, and if your AC quit in the middle of a 105 degree afternoon, call us and we will get a technician routed to you. Ontario summers run long and dry, with stretches where the overnight low never drops far enough to let a struggling condenser catch up. Then the Santa Ana winds come through and pack grit into outdoor coils until the system cannot shed heat. We see that a lot on the older ranch homes south of Holt, where the condenser has been sitting in the same side yard since the 1960s. Newer tract houses up toward the 210 have their own pattern, mostly long attic duct runs and back bedrooms that never cool down. Winter matters here too. A few December nights near freezing will find every weak igniter and cracked flue in town, so we run furnace repair calls straight through the cold months.
Ontario mixes older north-end homes from the mid-century and earlier with big stretches of newer construction south of the freeway. Older stucco and wood-frame houses often have shallow attic ducts and undersized returns, while the newer subdivisions run packaged or split systems sized tight for hot inland summers, so airflow and duct sealing matter as much as the equipment.
I-10, I-15, SR-60 and Euclid Avenue are the routes we cover from here.

Ontario permits, codes and utility programmes
Ontario sits in Southern California Edison territory, with gas from SoCalGas.
SCE residential efficiency rebates and SoCalGas residential rebates are the programmes worth checking. Terms move, so confirm the current ones with the utility and we will point you at the paperwork.
California Title 24, Part 6 applies to a changeout here, which normally means a permit, with HERS verification and CF2R/CF3R registration on most changeouts. City of Ontario Building Department handles them.
The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit applies to qualifying equipment, and the efficiency tier it requires is worth checking before you choose a system.

How soon can you get to my Ontario home when the AC stops in July?
Call us and we will give you a real window for that same day or the next, depending on where we are in the day. Summer is our heaviest season in Ontario, so we triage by who has no cooling at all, especially homes with small children or older residents. Before we arrive you can check the thermostat batteries and settings, look for a tripped breaker, swap a clogged filter and clear leaves or dust buildup away from the outdoor unit. Those few things solve a fair number of calls and cost you nothing.
Do you charge extra to come out to Ontario or the surrounding cities?
No. Ontario sits in the middle of our regular route, so there is no separate travel charge here or in Upland, Montclair, Chino, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana or Pomona. If you are further out along the 15 or past Riverside, call and ask. We will tell you honestly whether we cover your street or whether you would be better served by someone closer, because a two hour drive does you no good when your air conditioner repair needs a follow up visit.
How does pricing work?
Everything gets quoted in writing first, the visit, the parts, the labor, and work starts only when you approve.
Do you work on my system's brand?
Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Bryant, American Standard and more, gas and electric, as an independent repair company.
If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds: leave the building first, take everyone with you, and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Call us once the property has been cleared.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill out the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and whether the outdoor unit is running. That tells us which parts and gauges to load on the truck before we leave.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow, refrigerant pressures, and the condenser coil. Desert dust plugs coils and dying capacitors are common. You get the finding in plain words before we touch a part.
- Step 3
Repair and verify
We make the repair, then run the system and measure supply air temperature and amp draw so we know it is actually cooling or heating. We tell you what we saw and what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us
- We know rooftop unitsHalf the valley has a package unit on the roof, baking all summer. We are up there regularly, so we know how those cabinets fail, where the drain pans rust, and how heat and sun break down wiring and blower assemblies.
- Dust is the local enemyFine desert dust mats onto condenser coils and chokes airflow, and the system runs hot until something gives up. We check the coil on every call and tell you honestly whether cleaning will fix your cooling problem.
- July gets treated like JulyA dead condenser when it is 112 outside is not a routine call. We prioritise homes with no cooling, and we say clearly when we can be there instead of leaving you guessing all afternoon.
- Heating tooDesert nights get cold and furnaces sit unused for months. We do heater repair and furnace repair, including no-ignition problems, bad igniters, and blowers that hum without moving air. Same straight explanation, no upsell speech.
- All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
- Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
